I. B. E. W. LOCAL UNION 57 REGISTRATION AND CALL OUT PROCEDURES

Registration and Reregistration Procedures:

A person must register and sign the "Out-of-Work List" in person at the Local Union Office between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, except holidays.
To stay current on the books, a person must reregister on the first working day each month in person or by telephone between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, except holidays. Those failing to reregister will be dropped from the "Out-of-Work List."

Call Out Procedures:

Call outs will be between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., Monday through Friday. We will continue to call after the hour of 10:00 a.m., providing we can contact the next individual on the "Out-of-Work Books."
Each individual may refuse three calls. Upon the third refusal, the individual will be rolled to the bottom of the "Out-of-Work Book."
When the employer states bona fide requirements for special skills and abilities in his request for applicants, the Business Manager shall refer the first applicant on the register possessing such skills and abilities.
Contact with an individual and refusal will be considered a call.
Contact with a qualified individual at the proper telephone number called and no response from the person called within a short but reasonable amount of time, during calling hours, will be considered a call.
Two telephone calls to an individual with no answer during calling hours will be considered a call.
All new calls will be presented to each individual on the book and considered a call.
